Frequently Asked Questions
Meeting Format: Will this club meet entirely online, 100% on-site, or in a hybrid format?
YES. Virtual is the easiest way to meet, especially with a world‑wide audience.
Proposed Schedule: Once we reach the 11-application threshold to vote on logistics, what are the primary days, times, and meeting frequencies currently being considered?
We want to set the time and date around what best fits most of the population initially.
We will be creative in attempting to accommodate everyone.
Standard club meeting length is one hour and typically every other week on weekdays, though some meet on weekends.
Weekly meetings may provide better opportunities for attendance and could rotate days including Saturdays and Sundays.
Coaching Integration: How will traditional Toastmasters speech tracks integrate with Harada coaching and mentoring frameworks?
Meetings may function as Harada Method information sessions, including speeches that teach the Harada Method and instruction on using the five forms.
This helps trainees deepen their understanding of weekly assignments while training Toastmasters members in the Harada Method and generating interest in the coaching program.
Leadership Opportunities: Are there opportunities for founding members to take on early leadership roles once chartered?
YES. Toastmasters requires at least three officers, and all officer positions are envisioned to be filled at charter:
President, VP Education, VP Membership, VP Public Relations, Secretary, Treasurer, and Sergeant at Arms (Zoom Host/Greeter).
Members are encouraged to rotate leadership roles yearly to expand their leadership development.
Attendance Requirements: What level of attendance is expected?
While 100% attendance is ideal, life includes illness, vacations, business travel, and holidays.
Members are encouraged to commit to doing their best while understanding flexibility is necessary.
